I didn´t know so much about Brussels before i
get there in may of this year. Actually, sometimes i think it is really
good to visit the unexpected. I was going to check out the Brussels gay scene. It was pride weekend and It would be my first time at La Demence, the Belgium´s most famous party.
Belgium is one of the most progressive countries regarding gay rights. Ten years ago, on 1 June 2003, the country became the second in the world to legalize same-sex marriage, after the Netherlands. Brussels, the Belgium´s capital, is also headquarters of the European Union - roughly 30% of its 1,1 million inhabitants are foreigner. Its inclusive environment allows that the gay area is integrated into the beautiful and picturesque city center, where The Mansion is located.
I am really excited to go back to this progressive city. The first time was really great. La Demence´s 24th anniversary is a great excuse to make new friends and create a network of party and travel lovers. I really hope to live out a great experience with The Mansion guests, probably my new friends. See you there?
